Mughal Tahakhana
মুঘল তাহখানা · Shibganj, Shahbajpur Union, Firozpur area (Gaur), Chapainawabganj district, Rajshahi Division
Introduction
A three-storied retreat built by Shah Shuja, son of Emperor Shah Jahan and Subahdar of Bengal, in honour of his spiritual mentor Shah Syed Niyamatullah — the name means 'cool palace'. The complex includes a hammam, a mosque and a tomb, and is protected by the Department of Archaeology. It lies close to Choto Sona Mosque, so the two are visited together.
Suggested time: 1 hour
How to get there
About 15 km from Chapainawabganj town; CNG or easy-bike via Shibganj toward Gaur, getting down at Shahbajpur. Plan it in the same loop as Choto Sona Mosque and other Gaur monuments.
