Chalan Beel
চলন বিল · Singra / Gurudaspur (Natore share), spanning Natore, Sirajganj and Pabna districts, Natore district, Rajshahi Division
Introduction
The largest wetland of northwest Bangladesh — about 40% in Natore, 35% in Sirajganj and 25% in Pabna. Winter brings migratory birds and the monsoon brings open water for country-boat trips; forty-seven rivers and waterways feed the beel, the Atrai being the main inflow. It is a region, not a single site — visit from Singra/Gurudaspur (Natore), Tarash (Sirajganj) or Bhangura (Pabna) with a locally hired boat.
Suggested time: one day
How to get there
From Natore town, take a bus toward Singra or Gurudaspur and hire a country boat locally — in the dry season parts of the beel dry out, so ask locals where boats still run. Alternative access is the Tarash/Baghabari side from Sirajganj or Bogura.

The honest truth about costs
Boat hire varies by season and distance; negotiate locally.
What you will need to budget for
