A four-domed historic mosque built around 1610-1611 CE during Mughal emperor Jahangir's reign and protected by the Department of Archaeology. It stands about 6 km south of Tangail city on the eastern bank of the Louhajang River. Its terracotta ornamentation and quiet riverside setting make it a rewarding half-day trip.

A national park declared in 1982 covering 8,436 hectares, part of one of Bangladesh's finest sal forests with about 40% sal-tree cover. Some 176 plant species and 190 faunal species have been recorded, and Garo indigenous communities live in the area. It is about 125 km from Dhaka, making it feasible as a day trip.

Mohera Zamindar Bari

A 19th-century zamindari palace built in 1890 by brothers Kali Charan Saha and Anand Saha, originally from Calcutta, spread over roughly eight acres. It is considered one of the best-maintained zamindari estates in Bangladesh. A police training centre operates in the building today, so parts of the complex may have restricted access.
