Photo of Bibichini Shahi Mosque

Bibichini Shahi Mosque

A single-domed Mughal-style mosque from the 17th century in Bibi Chini village, Betagi Upazila. Measuring 33 by 33 feet with walls about 6 feet thick, it was listed as a protected archaeological site in 1992 and renovated by the Directorate of Archaeology. The mosque and village are said to be named after Bibi Chini, daughter of Shah Neyamatullah. It remains an active mosque - be respectful at prayer times.

Shubho Shondha Beach

A beach on the coast of Taltali, Barguna's southernmost upazila, mentioned in the upazila's Wikipedia article, which also notes that tourists come to the Paira-Bishkhali-Bay of Bengal confluence area. Detailed information is scarce - treat it as a remote, little-documented coastal destination and check current conditions locally.

Tengragiri Wildlife Sanctuary (Fatrar Ban)

A 4,048-hectare coastal forest near Taltali, locally known as Fatrar Ban, declared a wildlife sanctuary on 24 October 2010. It combines mangrove and littoral forest beside the confluence of the Payra-Bishkhali rivers and the Bay of Bengal. Infrastructure is limited - take a local forest staff member or guide.
