Introduction
Nalta Sharif in Kaliganj, Satkhira is the birthplace and memorial centre of Khan Bahadur Ahsanullah (r), an educationist and religious reformer of undivided Bengal. A large complex has grown around his shrine with a mosque, madrasa, schools, a college and health-service facilities. It is a well-known pilgrimage destination in the region.
