Kusumba Mosque
কুসুম্বা মসজিদ · Manda, Kusumba village, Naogaon district, Rajshahi Division
Introduction
A Suri-period mosque completed in 1559, nicknamed 'the Black Gem of Bangladesh' for its dark stone. Visitors come for its carved arches, mihrabs and domed prayer hall; it was damaged in the 1897 earthquake but survives as a protected national heritage site. It pairs well with a half-day trip from Naogaon town.
Suggested time: 1 hour
How to get there
From Naogaon town, travel via Manda upazila to Kusumba village by bus or CNG, then a short van/rickshaw ride. Confirm local fares. Combine with a visit to Paharpur (Somapura Mahavihara) for a full-day route.
